Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Surgical oncology is evolving rapidly, driven by technological innovation, the integration of systemic therapies, and a growing emphasis on precision and personalization. This Special Issue, “General Surgical Oncology: Evolving Paradigms and Contemporary Challenges”, aims to highlight current advancements and future directions in the surgical management of solid tumors.

The issue will address a broad range of topics, including minimally invasive and robotic surgery, integration of systemic and targeted therapies with surgery, management of rare and technically demanding tumors, and optimization of perioperative strategies. A strong focus will be placed on multidisciplinary collaboration and the expanding role of artificial intelligence in diagnostics, treatment planning, intraoperative support, and outcome prediction.

Our goal is to highlight innovative surgical approaches, promote the integration of emerging technologies, and encourage critical discussion around current evidence and best practices in oncologic surgery.

The issue will feature original research, clinical studies, and reviews that provide in-depth analyses of current challenges and emerging directions in surgical oncology.

We invite surgeons, oncologists, and researchers to contribute to this Special Issue, which aims to serve as a platform for scientific exchange, interdisciplinary dialog, and the dissemination of impactful advances in the field.

Join us in shaping the future of surgical oncology by contributing to this timely and influential collection.
