New Advances in Hip and Knee Reconstructive Surgery: 2nd Edition
This special issue belongs to the section “Orthopedics“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We sincerely invite you to contribute to the Special Issue “New Advances in Hip and Knee Reconstructive Surgery: 2nd Edition”. (The first edition can be found at Special Issue “New Advances in Hip and Knee Reconstructive Surgery”, https://www.mdpi.com/journal/jcm/special_issues/323L2BO51Z). This Special Issue focuses on the clinical research progress in the field of hip and knee reconstruction, aiming to collect original research papers and review articles to explore the latest clinical practices, technological innovations, and diagnostic and treatment challenges in this field.
With the popularization of artificial joint replacement, hip and knee reconstruction surgery faces new opportunities and challenges in clinical practice. In recent years, clinical innovations such as prosthesis design optimization, minimally invasive surgical technique improvement, perioperative pain management programs, and the application of biological agents have significantly improved patients’ postoperative functional recovery and prosthesis survival rate. However, there are still many clinical problems that need to be solved in the selection of surgical procedures for complex cases, prevention and treatment of periprosthetic infection, and optimization of revision surgery strategies.
We welcome your contributions on topics related to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of knee and hip disorders to update and advance the field.
Dr. Senthil Sambandam
