Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world. Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

Dear Colleagues,
As Editor-in-Chief of Geriatrics, I am pleased to announce the winner of the Geriatrics 2024 Travel Award. The award has been granted to Dr. Helio Jose Coelho-Junior, a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Geriatrics and Internal Medicine at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome, Italy. His research currently focuses on sarcopenia, frailty, exercise training, nutrition, biomarkers, and studies of older adults.
As the awardee, Dr. Helio Jose Coelho-Junior will receive an honorarium of CHF 800 and an electronic certificate.
With so many high-quality applicants, the evaluation process and final decision were challenging. We would like to thank all the applicants for submitting their diverse and fascinating range of research topics. On behalf of the assessment committee, I congratulate the winner on his accomplishments.

Dear Colleagues,
As Editor-in-Chief of Geriatrics, I am pleased to announce the winner of the 2020 Travel Award sponsored by Geriatrics.
The Travel Award was granted to Dr. Esmee M. Reijnierse, an early career researcher specializing in sarcopenia and currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow in the @AgeMelbourne research group at the University of Melbourne in Australia (AUS). She has extensive experience in conducting cohort studies in a variety of settings, i.e., inpatients, outpatients, general population, and healthcare professionals.
The awards consist of 800 Swiss Francs each to support attendance at an academic conference in 2020.

On behalf of the Evaluation Committee, I am pleased to announce the winner of the 2019 Geriatrics Travel Award:
Theodore D. Cosco, a Postdoctoral Researcher in Gerontology Research Center, Department of Gerontology, Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada, who will be supported with 800 Swiss Francs towards his travel expenses to attend an academic conference in 2019. His primary areas of interest are in the positive aspects of ageing, e.g. resilience, applying longitudinal modelling techniques within a life course epidemiological framework, and the policy implications an ageing population.
