Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue will focus on recent advances in the genetic analysis of challenging forensic samples, including degraded, trace-level, and environmentally compromised biological material. Contributions addressing STR, SNP, and mtDNA profiling are particularly welcome. The Issue will explore the effects of temperature, humidity, chemicals, fire, and water on nucleic acid integrity and genetic marker recovery. We also welcome studies on novel extraction, amplification, and analytical approaches designed to improve genetic profiling from difficult samples. In addition, research applying gene expression and other molecular markers to post-mortem interval estimation will be considered.
Both original research articles and review articles are highly encouraged. We invite contributions from researchers across all related disciplines, including but not limited to forensic science, molecular biology, genetics, and anthropology. All submissions will undergo rigorous peer review to ensure the highest standards of scientific quality. We look forward to receiving your valuable contributions to this timely and important field.
