The 4th Canadian Conference on Fintech (FinteQC 2026)
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The Fourth Canadian Conference on Fintech (FinteQC 2026) is jointly organized by the École des Sciences de la Gestion (ESG), Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), and the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR). This conference focuses on advancing research in financial technology and its practical implications for financial systems, institutions, and regulatory frameworks. It brings together researchers, graduate students, and industry practitioners to present original contributions, engage in critical debate, and deepen understanding of both foundational and applied challenges in fintech.
The program features short research papers and panel discussions on emerging trends in digital finance, payment systems, open banking, regulatory technology, and AI in finance. All accepted papers will be published in the official conference proceedings and presented on 2–3 June 2026 at the Pavilion of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, ESG UQAM, Montréal, Canada.
Following the conference, selected high-quality papers will be invited for revised and extended submission to a dedicated Special Issue of FinTech (MDPI), an open access journal. The selection process will consider conference review ratings and presentation quality during the event.
As part of the partnership with FinTech (MDPI), four presenting authors will receive full Article Processing Charge waivers. These include the two Best Paper Award winners—one for the Best Paper (Faculty/Professor-led) Award and one for the Best Paper (Student-led) Award—plus two additional papers selected by the Scientific Committee. Other eligible submissions will benefit from a 20% Article Processing Charge discount if submitted by 31 December 2026.
