New Perspectives and Regulations for Logistics, Management Processes and Renewable Energy Sources

Dear Colleagues,

The world's coal resources are becoming scarcer, driving the search for alternative energy sources. These are well-known facts, as are the sources of these potential energy sources in the form of sun (photovoltaics), wind (wind farms) and water (hydroelectric power plants). This Special Issue will present the latest research on the role and logistic support of energy producers and distributors, relations between energy distributors and consumers, and the related role of logistics operators. The aspects of the functioning of supply chains in the energy sector are also an important matter.

Another thematic area is related to special requirements that must be met by individual logistic processes, such as the methods of storing energy from alternative sources. The transport of oversized elements for the construction of wind, hydro, and nuclear power plants. Risk management in the operation of power plants and the implementation of logistic processes are also important elements of this research field.

Renewable energy sources are also an integral part of energy policies at national, supranational (EU) and global levels. The constant development of regulations raises problems from the legal compliance perspective for companies operating on this market. Equally important are questions about the limits of state aid for this sector of the economy, which affects the competitiveness of enterprises. The impact of legal norms on the efficiency of power plant management and cooperation with the state administration also remains significant.

In this context, theoretical and practical studies of energy problems related to logistics and management and quality sciences are needed. We welcome original articles that provide new information in these areas.

Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Energies is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
