Conference Papers Collection in Sustainable Energy
This special issue belongs to the section “A: Sustainable Energy“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Topical Collection, "Conference Papers Collection in Sustainable Energy ", will provide a platform for authors to publish their expanded high-quality conference papers if they fulfill the following requirements: (1) the paper has been expanded to the size of a research article (50% content expansion); (2) the conference paper is cited and noted on the first page of the paper; (3) the authors have sought the appropriate permission from the relevant copyright holders if they do not hold the copyright to the published conference paper; (4) it has been disclosed that the paper is a conference paper in their cover letter and a statement on what has been changed compared to the original conference paper has been included.
The scope of this Topical Collection is to gather the best papers discussing the plethora of topics related to sustainable energy. Renewable energy sources, leading actors in the energy transition, and the circular economy are all topics that will be included in this collection: energy from the sun, wind, biomass, water, and soil are all sustainable sources of energy; papers dealing with energy production systems working via innovative process development and optimization and sustainable pathways being investigated in terms of impact reduction, such as LCA, LCC, social-LCA, carbon footprint, water footprint, and ecological footprint, are also welcome; papers could also examine the final step of sustainable energy use (electricity production, heating and cooling systems, and industrial energy applications are some examples). Moreover, sustainable buildings and sustainable territory planning are other fundamental topics that could lead the ecological transition towards sustainable energy. Finally, papers could discussing certain sustainable energy products or vectors in the transport sector, such us green or bio-hydrogen, biomethane, and biofuels, in depth via the biorefinery model in fossil fuel refining applications would also be relevant to this collection.
