Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In recent years, networked control systems have become an emerging research topic and have been vastly applied in various fields, such as water/gas distribution, healthcare, smart grid, and intelligent transportation. It is an active research topic in control theory and has been successfully used in various industrial applications. The exciting applications of networked control systems will inspire a variety of solutions to challenging problems, such as cyber attacks on satellite systems, fault-tolerant control and fault estimation for robotic systems, machine learning algorithms for inverted pendulum systems, and so on. This Special Issue provides a venue for researchers to share their findings related to networked control systems and their applications. Based on a theme, all contributions that demonstrate innovative ideas and technologies to address various difficulties and challenges in the field of networked control systems are encouraged for submission. Moreover, all manuscripts are expected to be written for a broad scientific audience. The goal of this topic is to bring together networked control system theories, methods, and real-world applications. The Special Issue will consist of topical research in the following areas (however, this list is by no means exhaustive):

  1. Stability analysis and security control for networked control systems;
  2. Fault-tolerant control and estimation problems for sampled data systems;
  3. Game theory and machine learning problems for agent systems;
  4. Finite-time analysis for networked control systems;
  5. Control and communication theories.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
