Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In the technological revolution 4.0, digital technologies affect all areas and activities of society. The implications of digital technologies (artificial intelligence, blockchain, the internet of things, big data, and cloud computing) in changing the patterns of work, medicine, education, agriculture, trade, marketing, finance, banking, accountancy, and public administration are profound, with the effects being primarily positive. However, adverse effects also need to be assessed to prevent and combat them. The digital transformation of organizations in the context of the technological revolution 4.0 sets out a new vision of obtaining products and services with lower costs, higher quality, and with respect for sustainability principles. Moreover, digitizing organizational activities and processes is associated with introducing disruptive technologies (artificial intelligence, blockchain, the internet of things, big data, and cloud computing), which reshape organizational functioning. This Special Issue focuses on bringing together contemporary research on the digital revolution's implications and effects that provide new insights into theoretical concepts and practice. While the scope for papers is broad, contributors might consider addressing one or more of the following issues: artificial intelligence; blockchain; internet of things; big data; cloud computing; e-commerce; m-commerce; e-marketing; teleworking; telemedicine; biotechnology; online education; digital banking; fintech; digital accounting management; digital administration.
