Recent Advances in Imaging in Diagnostics and Therapeutics for Nonhealing Wounds

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue on "Recent Advances in Imaging in Diagnostics and Therapeutics for Nonhealing Wounds" focuses on the cutting-edge developments and applications of multispectral, thermal, artificial intelligence and fluorescence imaging techniques in the treatment of nonhealing acute and chronic wounds, such as diabetic foot and venous leg and pressure ulcers. The advent of imaging diagnostics has changed the practice of wound care. The contributions in this Special Issue explore how imaging modalities overcome the limitations of clinical signs and symptoms and traditional diagnostic techniques in the treatment of nonhealing wounds. Wound care encompasses a broad spectrum of diseases and medical specialties that treat them. The Special Issue will examine molecular and cellular aspects of the diagnostics as well as clinical cases in the use of imaging to improve patient care. Overall, this Special Issue provides a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements in the imaging of nonhealing wounds, inspiring further research and clinical translation to benefit patients worldwide.
