Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Developmental psychopathology in neonates and children at high risk has increasingly become a critical field of inquiry, as early detection and intervention significantly impact lifelong mental health trajectories. Recent advances underline the importance of comprehensive clinical assessments to identify vulnerabilities early and implement effective interventions promptly. This Special Issue aims to bring together pioneering research that advances our understanding of developmental psychopathology within high-risk pediatric populations, emphasizing both theoretical frameworks and practical assessment tools.

We invite original research, systematic reviews, and innovative methodological studies exploring state-of-the-art practices in identifying, evaluating, and managing developmental psychopathology among high-risk neonates and children. Submissions that introduce novel clinical assessment instruments, longitudinal studies illuminating developmental trajectories, evidence-based preventive interventions, and interdisciplinary approaches bridging psychology, pediatrics, and public health are particularly encouraged.

We welcome contributions from researchers and clinicians passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable young populations.
