Clinical and Basic Research on Chronic Rhinosinusitis in Children

Dear Colleagues,

Rhinosinusitis is a common diagnosis that all of us have encountered. Chronic sinusitis is a significant problem for the pediatric population, despite being less common than acute sinusitis and receiving less attention than its adult counterpart. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in this clinical condition, and the goal of this Special Issue is to gather various clinical and research experiences on this subject. Therefore, submissions of articles focusing on the pathophysiology of chronic sinusitis and the role of the microbiome will be welcomed. Clinical works from pediatrics, otolaryngology, immunology of pneumology, etc. will also be appreciated, with a focus on both medical and surgical treatments, combined and multidisciplinary approaches, as well as the new frontier of biological therapy.

Manuscript Submission Information

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Children is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
