The journal retracts the article “Unveiling the Neural Mirage in the Pursuit of Transcendent Intelligence” [1], cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office regarding the originality of key concepts and the integrity of multiple figures presented in this publication [1].
Adhering to our standard procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and Advisory Board that identified reuse of figures from earlier publications (Figures 7–9 in [2], Figure 2 in [3], and Figures 5 and 6 in [4]) authored by a different research group, presented in this article [1] as original material, as well as inadequate attribution and originality concerning key concepts presented in this article.
Consequently, the Advisory Board has lost confidence in the originality and integrity of the findings and has decided to retract this publication, as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Advisory Board of the Engineering Proceedings journal.
The authors did not provide a comment on this decision.
