Cover Story: The 1st International Electronic Conference - Futuristic Applications on Electronics was successfully held online from 1 to 30 November 2020 and the publication of the conference proceedings is organized in this volume of the journal Engineering Proceedings. This conference aimed to provide leading scientists working in the broad field of electronics with a robust common platform on which to share and discuss the latest research and to promote the advancement of this exciting and rapidly changing field. The subjects of the contributions cover: New engineering developments related to the heterogeneous integration of wireless and mixed signal devices, bioeletronic devices, microelectromechanical system; Future applications of electronic circuits and systems, with a special emphasis healthcare, mobility and smart cities, sustainable energy and geology; The fundamental classical theory and the Artificial Intelligence models supporting emerging technologies.
