The International Conference on Geoinformatics is the official conference of the International Association of Chinese Professionals in Geographic Information Sciences (CPGIS). This annual conference, held in different cities worldwide, attracts CPGIS members as well as researchers, professionals, and students from broad geospatial communities, and has become a global platform for advancing the field of geographic information sciences. In August 2024, the thirty-first conference was held in Toronto, centred around the theme of “Geospatial Sciences for Sustainability”. Under this theme, the conference offered an engaging platform for networking, exchanging new ideas and cutting-edge knowledge among diverse GIScience professionals worldwide, and promoting collaboration in geospatial science and sustainability.
