Cover Story: This study explores the evolving landscape of education in the field of 21st century liberal arts, emphasizing its pivotal role in preparing students for global challenges such as DX, STEAM integration, and the SDGs. Against the backdrop of globalization and a knowledge-based society, the research highlights the alignment between academic institutions and societal expectations, shedding light on the gaps in perceptions and evaluations of university education outcomes. The paper underscores the necessity for active learning methodologies, such as project-based learning (PBL), collaborative projects, and problem-solving exercises, to foster practical and applied knowledge. It calls for a symbiotic relationship between universities and industries to create a robust innovation ecosystem that addresses global issues like societal polarization and ethical challenges in AI. View this paper
