The journal retracts and remove the article “Exploration of a Flexible Metasurface for Strain Sensors: A Perspective from 2D Grating Fabrication to Spectral Characterization” [1] cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office relating to unauthorized use of a device presented in this study [1].
Adhering to our standard procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and Editorial Board that confirmed that appropriate permission had not been gained to use or publish a device, and the findings presented in this article. Following confirmation from the University of Tübingen, the Editorial Board have decided to retract and remove this publication [1], as per MDPI’s retraction policy (MDPI | Research and Publication Ethics).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Applied Science.
The authors did not provide a comment on this decision.
