Cover Story: This study examines the experiences of early-stage women entrepreneurs in urban Ireland, with a focus on the Greater Dublin Area. Using Stewart’s Demand–Constraint–Choice model, it examines their motivations, challenges, and the structural and cultural factors that shape their leadership and business decisions. Through semi-structured interviews, it reveals how gendered roles, institutional barriers, and personal agency intersect in shaping entrepreneurial journeys, offering insights for policy, support structures, and inclusive economic development. View this paper
