Cover Story: Nowadays, diabetes is still a serious problem in our civilization. This is evidenced by the increasing incidence rate, which applies to all types of the disease (type I, type II, and gestational diabetes). Preventing its development and impact on human life involves frequent measurements, which are necessary to maintain proper glucose levels. Herein, we proposed nature-inspired biomolecular corona based on poly(caffeic acid) as a low-potential and time-stable glucose biosensor to detect glucose in real solutions, including human blood and serum.
