Innovations and Emerging Research in Sustainable Energy, Environment and Agriculture
Topic Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Topic, “Innovations and Emerging Research in Sustainable Energy, Environment and Agriculture”, is initiated in cooperation with the 21st International Conference of Young Scientists on Energy and Natural Sciences Issues (CYSENI 2025). It aims to highlight cutting-edge research, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and foster innovative approaches to address some of the most pressing global challenges in energy, the environment, and natural systems.
This Topic welcomes original research articles and comprehensive review papers from both CYSENI 2025 participants and the broader academic and industrial communities. Contributions may span a wide range of fields, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Renewable and conventional energy technologies
- Energy systems, storage, and efficiency
- Environmental monitoring and pollution control
- Sustainable agriculture and land use
- Climate change mitigation and adaptation
- Green technologies and circular economy
- Materials science for energy and environment
- Modeling, simulation, and data-driven methods in natural sciences
- Interdisciplinary studies linking energy, environment, and society
CYSENI is an annual event initiated and organized by the Lithuanian Energy Institute, with the support of the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry, RTO.Lithuania and other esteemed partners. CYSENI 2025 was held at the Lithuanian Energy Institute in Kaunas, Lithuania, from 20 to 22 May 2025.
The conference is dedicated to young scientists and early-career professionals from Europe and worldwide who work in energy, environmental, and natural sciences. It offers a free and inclusive platform for undergraduate, MSc, and PhD students, and early-stage researchers, to present their work, develop skills, engage with peers, and build lasting scientific networks.
