Zoonoses

Zoonoses is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal which provides an advanced forum for studies related to various infectious diseases transmitted between animals and humans. Zoonoses is published quarterly online by MDPI. From Volume 1, Issue 1, Zoonoses has been renamed Zoonotic Diseases.
  • Open Access— free for readers, with article processing charges (APC) paid by authors or their institutions.
  • Rapid Publication: first decisions in 19 days; acceptance to publication in 8 days (median values for MDPI journals in the second half of 2025).
  • Recognition of Reviewers: APC discount vouchers, optional signed peer review, and reviewer names published annually in the journal.
  • Zoonoses is a companion journal of Animals, Viruses and Pathogens.
