Vehicle Dynamics and Control

A section of Vehicles (ISSN 2624-8921).

Section Information

This Section addresses the engineering design, integration, and optimization of vehicle dynamic systems, with a focus on powertrain and transmission architectures, suspension systems, braking technologies, NVH performance, and thermal management solutions. Advances in simulation-driven design and system-level modeling have enabled efficient evaluation and optimization of vehicle performance, safety, comfort, and energy efficiency across a wide range of operating conditions. Emphasis is placed on the practical implementation of dynamic and control and estimation strategies to improve system robustness, reliability, and durability in both conventional and electrified vehicles. As vehicle systems become increasingly integrated, applied research in vehicle dynamics and control plays a critical role in supporting the development, validation, and optimization of next-generation automotive technologies.
