2019	The inaugural issue was released. Vehicles was published as a quarterly journal.
2021	Vehicles was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).
2022	Vehicles was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).
2023	Vehicles received its first Impact Factor (2.2). Vehicles received its first CiteScore (2022) of 2.9.
2025	Vehicles was indexed in Ei Compendex (Elsevier), starting with Volume 7 (Issue 2).
2026	Vehicles adopted a monthly publication schedule. Vehicles received its 2025 CiteScore (5.5), ranked 33/143 in "Automotive Engineering". Vehicles received its 2025 Impact Factor (3.2), ranked 59/184 in "Engineering, Mechanical" and 40/80 in "Transportation Science and Technology". Vehicles established the following sections: Vehicle Dynamics and Control; Powertrain and Energy Systems; Intelligent and Connected Mobility; Safety and Security in Vehicles.
