Dear Colleagues,
Urology is a branch of medicine that is constantly evolving. Technological improvements and innovations in pharmaceuticals and information technology have led to increasingly significant development in our field. Innovation and technology have greatly enhanced our diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities, resulting in considerable patient benefits. Likewise, advances in our ability to communicate with patients and increased attention to quality of life have also improved treatment outcomes. These developments have been actively monitored by our journal, Uro, with many papers focusing on them, spreading knowledge in both the therapeutic and diagnostic domains of urology.
This 5th Anniversary Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of all the recent innovations in urology, both in the diagnostic and therapeutic fields. This Special Issue welcomes original research articles, reviews, clinical studies, and perspectives. Particular attention will be given to the following topics: new technological approaches in surgery and the use of artificial intelligence in this area; new diagnostic methods and novel diagnostic approaches to urological diseases; new drugs; new organizational models in clinical and surgical settings; personalized treatment based on precision medicine principles; and new organizational models and new strategies for managing care pathways.
Multidisciplinary contributions that connect all physicians managing urological diseases and healthcare policy will be of particular relevance. Moreover, specific attention will be given to papers that pertain to the quality of life issue.
This 5th Anniversary Special Issue will be an opportunity to not only celebrate the 5th anniversary of our Uro journal but also to provide all readers with the possibility to be updated about the latest advances in the fields of urology and andrology.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Uro is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
