Sustainable Lithium-Ion Battery Management: Charging Optimization

This special issue belongs to the section “Energy Sustainability“.

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

It is a pleasure to introduce this Special Issue dedicated to sustainability, a theme that has become central to the contemporary scientific, technological and societal agenda. The transition toward cleaner, more efficient and more resilient production systems is no longer merely an academic aspiration; it has become an urgent global imperative. This Special Issue brings together contributions that explore innovative approaches in clean energy systems, electric mobility, circular economy strategies and integrated resource management, demonstrating how multidisciplinary perspectives can strengthen sustainable development across diverse sectors.

The articles included here reflect a consistent effort to integrate scientific evidence, technological advancement and policy frameworks, with particular attention to environmental, social and economic impacts. Collectively, these studies deepen the understanding of current sustainability challenges and—more importantly—offer concrete pathways for reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency, extending material lifecycles and transforming production and consumption patterns. It is expected that this Special Issue will inspire researchers, policymakers and practitioners to develop solutions that promote a more balanced, inclusive and sustainable future.
