Travel Award

The application deadline of the Solids Travel Award is extended. Entries will be accepted until January 31st 2026. We are looking forward to applications from all over the world.

The Solids Travel Award was launched in 2025 and is presented every year to encourage junior scientists to present their latest research at academic conferences in the field of solid-state science, which helps grow their profile.

The Prize:
– CHF 800;
– A certificate;
– A free voucher for article processing fees, valid for one year.

Eligibility and Requirements

– Postdoctoral fellows or PhD students;
– Plans to attend an international conference in 2026 (oral presentation or poster).

List of Documents for Application

– Information on the conference that the applicant is planning to attend and the abstract that will be submitted;
– A Curriculum Vitae and list of publications;
– Justification letter describing the focus of the research (max. 800 words);
– A letter of recommendation from the supervisor, research director, or department head, which also confirms the applicant’s status.
