2010	The inaugural issue was released. Religions was published as a quarterly journal.
2013	Religions was indexed in Arts & Humanities Citation Index (AHCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).
2014	Religions was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).
2015	Religions was indexed in ATLA Religion Database.
2016	Religions adopted a monthly publication schedule.
2018	Religions was indexed in Religious and Theological Abstracts (R&TA). Religions announced the first edition of the Travel awards.
2020	Religions established the following Sections: Religions and Theologies; Religions and Humanities/Philosophies; Religions and Health/Psychology/Social Sciences. Religions announced the first edition of the Outstanding Reviewer awards. Religions announced the first edition of the Young Investigators award.
