Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Infectious diseases, including respiratory infections, remain the leading cause of mortality worldwide. Conditions such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), and influenza continue to pose significant global health challenges. Vaccination plays a pivotal role in preventing infections caused by bacteria, viruses, and protozoans, and its scope is expanding to include certain types of cancer.

This Special Issue invites original research articles, case studies, and reviews that explore recent developments in vaccination science. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Emerging trends in vaccine development and deployment;
  • Comparative analysis of vaccination strategies;
  • Impact of different routes of vaccine administration;
  • Novel vaccine formulations and delivery systems;
  • Effectiveness of re-vaccination strategies in adults with co-morbid conditions;
  • Host–immune responses to various vaccines.

We welcome contributions that advance understanding of how vaccines can be optimized to combat infectious diseases and improve public health outcomes.
