Advances in Pediatric Dentistry: Prevention, Minimally Invasive Approaches and Clinical Innovations
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Pediatric dentistry has undergone a significant transformation toward minimally invasive and non-invasive treatment concepts that prioritize preservation of healthy tooth structure, patient comfort, and long-term oral health outcomes. Contemporary approaches emphasize prevention, early diagnosis, remineralization, and biologically oriented management of oral diseases, thus reducing the need for extensive restorative interventions.
This Special Issue aims to highlight recent advances and emerging evidence in minimally invasive pediatric dentistry.
Topics of interest include caries prevention and risk assessment, silver diamine fluoride applications, atraumatic restorative treatment (ART), the Hall technique, selective caries removal, minimally invasive pulp therapy, bioactive restorative materials, remineralization strategies, management of enamel developmental defects, preventive orthodontic interventions, as well as simplified and child-friendly local anesthesia techniques designed to improve behavioral compliance and reduce pain perception during dental procedures.
