Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Breast cancer remains the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women worldwide, necessitating continuous in-novation in both diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
Recent advancements in molecular biology, imaging, and surgical techniques have enabled increasingly personalized approaches to breast cancer management.
This Special Issue, entitled "Personalized Innovations in Integrated Breast Cancer Management", will explore the evolving role of breast surgery within the context of a multidisciplinary, patient-centered treatment paradigm.
Modern breast surgery is no longer limited to tumor removal; it is a dynamic discipline that intersects with medical oncology, radiation therapy, reconstructive techniques, and genetic counseling.
Tailored surgical decisions, such as breast-conserving surgery versus mastectomy, oncoplastic procedures, and axillary management, are now guided by tumor biology, patient preferences, and predictive biomarkers.
In this integrated framework, the surgeon plays a pivotal role in coordinating personalized care, balancing oncologic safety with esthetic and functional outcomes.
For this Special Issue, we invite original research, reviews, and clinical perspectives that highlight innovative surgical approaches, novel multidisciplinary protocols, and precision medicine tools that enhance individualized breast cancer treatment.
By promoting collaboration between different specialties, we aim to contribute to a more effective and personalized model of breast cancer care.
