Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Pediatric dentistry demands more than technical expertise; it necessitates adaptability, sound clinical judgement, and a comprehensive understanding of children's oral health and behavioural development. In their daily practice, pediatric dentists are responsible for the management of a wide range of conditions affecting both primary and developing permanent teeth. The management of carious lesions, pulp therapy, traumatic dental injuries, and behavior guidance must be balanced with the individual needs of each patient.

This Special Issue comprises a diverse range of subjects pertinent to pediatric dental care, reflecting the heterogeneity of actual clinical practice. This Special Issue will comprise contributions derived from well-designed studies and applied research, with the aim of addressing both common and emerging challenges. The areas explored include the management of molar incisor hypomineralization, traumatic dental injuries, novel approaches to caries and pulp management, and behaviour management strategies, among other topics.

The present Special Issue synthesizes current evidence with practical applications, with the intention of facilitating decision-making and the development of evidence-based treatment plans. The fundamental goal of this Special Issue is to contribute to the optimization of oral health outcomes for children and adolescents in a range of pediatric dentistry settings.
