Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Non-pharmacological interventions—including physiotherapy approaches, therapeutic exercise, physical activity, manual therapy, dry needling, and other lifestyle-based strategies—have become essential components in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. These therapies play a crucial role in improving physical function, modulating inflammation, optimizing cardiovascular and metabolic health, and managing acute and chronic pain, offering effective and safe alternatives to pharmacological treatments. This Special Issue aims to bring together updated and multidisciplinary evidence on the efficacy, physiological mechanisms, and clinical applications of non-pharmacological and physiotherapy-based interventions across diverse clinical populations, including patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, and metabolic disorders. We welcome submissions of original research articles and reviews that contribute to advancing the understanding of exercise, physiotherapy, and other non-pharmacological strategies as evidence-based treatments in modern clinical practice and in the comprehensive management of patients with acute and chronic conditions.
