Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Anemia encompasses a diverse group of disorders that significantly impact patient health, meaning that a nuanced approach to their diagnosis, management, and treatment is required. This Special Issue will focus on the latest advancements in anemia research, addressing both common and rare forms of this disease.
Recent innovations in diagnostic tools, including next-generation sequencing, artificial intelligence, and advanced hematology analyzers, are revolutionizing early detection and precision medicine. These advancements are facilitating the more accurate classification of anemia, improving targeted therapies and patient outcomes.
Management strategies have also evolved, incorporating gene therapy, novel pharmacological agents, and personalized medicine approaches. Conditions such as hereditary hemolytic anemias, iron metabolism disorders, and bone marrow failure syndromes are now benefiting from a multidisciplinary treatment framework. Moreover, emerging technologies such as telemedicine and clinical decision support systems are enhancing patient access to specialized care.
For this Special Issue, we invite contributions including cutting-edge research articles, case studies, and review articles on anemia diagnosis, therapeutic innovations, and evolving clinical guidelines. By fostering scientific collaboration, we aim to advance our knowledge in this field and improve the quality of care for individuals affected by these conditions.
