1980	Renamed The International Journal of Orofacial Myology.
1982	The International Journal of Orofacial Myology was Indexed in PubMed—National Library of Medicine (NLM), from Volume 8 (Issue 1) through Volume 40 (Issue 1).
2007	Contracted with EBSCO to make current and back content available for purchase.
2020	Renamed International Journal of Orofacial Myology and Myofunctional Therapy (IJOM). Assigned Creative Commons licenses to all new content. Registered with CrossRef.
2022	Contracted with CLOCKKS to preserve digital content.
2023	Accepted by Committee for Publishing Ethics (COPE). Licensed with ProQuest LLC to reproduce, transmit and distribute IJOM content.
2025	Publication of International Journal of Orofacial Myology and Myofunctional Therapy was transferred to MDPI from Volume 51, Issue 1 (2025). The year 2025 marked the 50th Anniversary of IJOM.
