50th Anniversary

The year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the International Journal of Orofacial Myology and Myofunctional Therapy (IJOM), the official journal of the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). This milestone year also highlights the new society partnership between the IAOM and MDPI.

The IJOM is a peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to advancing the treatment of orofacial myofunctional disorders. Since its inception, the IJOM has published nearly 500 articles and currently features an Editorial Board of 20 members representing 7 countries. We are grateful to all of our Editorial Board members, reviewers, and authors who have shaped the landscape of the journal and the field over the past 5 decades.

To commemorate the IJOM’s 50th anniversary, we have created a special collection of materials to explore and enjoy as we celebrate this significant achievement together.
