Solid Tumours in Focus: Tissue Biomarkers and Spatial Technologies in Cancer Pathology

Dear Colleagues,

Over the past decade there have been major advancements in the field of tumour pathology and a new appreciation for the importance of the spatial context of cells within the tumour microenvironment. Outcomes for many solid tumour types remain poor and research is required to identify novel predictive and prognostic biomarkers. This Special Issue aims to highlight recent discoveries in tissue-based cancer studies, with a focus on the significance of spatial deconvolution within tumours and the surrounding microenvironment. Therefore, in this Special Issue we invite submission of original research and review articles which explore topics including novel biomarkers, molecular pathology and the organisation of tumour cells, inflammatory infiltrate and/or stromal compartments of solid malignancies.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
