Travel Award

The application deadline for the Geriatrics Travel Award has been extended. Entries will be accepted until 31 December 2024. We are looking forward to applications from all over the world.

Geriatrics will be granting the Travel Award to one junior scientist. The applications will be assessed by an Evaluation Committee consisting of senior scholars from the Geriatrics Editorial Board.

The Geriatrics Travel Award was launched in 2017, and it intends to encourage junior scientists to present their latest research at academic conferences in the field of the health and healthcare of elderly people, including issues regarding healthcare systems and policies, which helps to grow their profile. The winner will be announced by the end of April the following year.

The Prize
– CHF 800;
– A certificate.

Eligibility and Requirements

– Postdoctoral fellows or PhD students, research fellows;
– Plans to attend an international conference in 2025 (oral presentation or poster).

List of Documents for Application

– Information of the conference the applicant is planning to attend and the abstract that will be submitted;
– Curriculum Vitae and list of publications;
– Justification letter describing the focus of the research (max. 800 words);
– Letter of recommendation from the supervisor, research director, or department head, which also confirms the applicant’s status.
