Cover Story: Postoperative delirium is a common complication in older adults undergoing elective surgery and requires effective interdisciplinary risk assessment and communication across care settings. To support this process, the Geriatric Delirium Pass (GeDePa), a paper-based tool for documenting risk factors, was developed and evaluated. Using a multi-method design including a literature review, expert interviews, and a standardized survey applying the RAND/UCLA Appropriateness Method, 21 healthcare professionals from Austria and Italy assessed the relevance and feasibility of the proposed risk factors. The results support the GeDePa as a feasible tool to facilitate structured delirium risk assessment and improve communication between primary care and hospital settings. View this paper
