Travel Award

Dear Colleagues,

As Editor-in-Chief of Forests, I am pleased to announce the two awardees for the 2022 Forests Travel Awards.

Mr. Eko Setio Wibowo is pursuing his PhD in the Department of Wood Science and Technology at Kyungpook National University in Republic of Korea. With his background and skills, Mr. Wibowo is sure to make important contributions to the growth in science of wood adhesives. His current research focuses on wood adhesives and on the investigation and characterization of the unique properties of UF resins, such as crystalline formation.

Ms. Melissa Latella is completing her PhD at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Ms. Latella has shown an enormous talent for research by developing new methodologies to combine field measurements, remote sensing data processing, and analytical and numerical modelling for ecomorphodynamic investigations.

With so many high-quality applicants, the evaluation process and final decision were challenging. We would like to thank all the applicants for submitting their diverse and fascinating range of research topics. On behalf of the assessment committee, I congratulate the winners on their accomplishments.
