2014 Published on a monthly basis with the 2013 Impact Factor 1.139.
2015 Updated Impact Factor for Forests is 1.449.
2016 2015 Impact Factor Released for Forests is 1.583.
2017 Professor Timothy A. Martin has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of Forests and 2016 Impact Factor Released for Forests is 1.951. Also Forests has instituted a Section Editor-In-Chief structure to spread all submissions to four Sections.
2018 2017 Impact Factor Released for Forests stands at 1.956.
2019 The 2018 impact factor increases to 2.116. Forests establishes the topical section Wood Science.
2020 The impact factor for Forests increased to 2.221 (2019). Forests established the topical section "Genetics and Molecular Biology". The journal was ranked 17/68 (Q1) in the category "Forestry".
2021 The Impact Factor of Forests increased to 2.634 for the year 2020. The journal was ranked 13/67 (Q1) in the category "Forestry". Forests established two topical sections "Forest Health" and "Forest Operations and Engineering".
