Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue explores advanced strategies for developing sustainable food systems by integrating technological innovation, public health protection and quality enhancement. The aim is to combine green processing techniques, safety control methods and quality improvement strategies to minimise environmental impact throughout the supply chain, guarantee product safety and enhance the nutritional and sensory qualities of food. Contributions that clearly fall within the three key areas of the Special Issue—green processing, safety control and quality enhancement—and contribute to the development of truly sustainable food systems through innovative approaches are welcomed. Studies on processes with low environmental impacts that enhance product quality will be considered. Also of interest are studies dedicated to the advanced monitoring of contaminants and control strategies that improve consumer protection throughout the entire supply chain. Through experimental studies and critical reviews, this Special Issue aims to provide a multidisciplinary network for researchers and professionals committed to developing greener, safer and higher-quality food supply chains, thereby contributing to the creation of a sustainable food future.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Foods is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
