Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce a Special Issue of Children focusing on the intersection of psychology and pediatric hematology and oncology. This Special Issue will highlight novel research related to optimizing the lived experiences and psychological adjustment of pediatric patients and their families. The issue will focus on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, the following: psychological interventions to support patients from diagnosis through treatment and maintenance, bioethics in pediatric hematology–oncology, the role of consultation–liaison in optimizing the outcomes of pediatric patients, improving multidisciplinary team communication, and topics related to mental health and wellbeing for adolescents and young adults (AYAs), siblings, and parents such as fertility, school re-entry, survivorship, grief, and palliative care.

Manuscript Submission Information

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Children is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
