Molecular & Translational Genetics

The focus of the “Molecular & Translational Genetics” Section is on advances in research in fields related to the molecular basis of genetic cardiovascular diseases and the development of novel therapeutic approaches for a more accurate and effective clinical management of patients. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

Investigating the molecular basis of cardiovascular diseases in human subjects, animal models, cellular models or computational modeling;

Pilot studies involving a small number of well clinically characterized individuals and/or large cohort analysis in case–control studies for the investigation of genetic determinants of clinically relevant traits;

Implementation of new therapeutic targets for future application into clinical practice;

Investigating and understanding physiological heart adaptations to exercise;

Comparative analysis of clinical responses in individuals based on their genetic background.

Papers in this Section are expected to represent significant advances in Molecular & Translational Genetics in cardiology that would be of interest to a broad audience.
