Medical Biotechnology
A section of BioTech (ISSN 2673-6284).
Section Information
Medical Biotechnology is a rapidly evolving field that integrates advanced biological knowledge with engineering principles and computational sciences to develop innovative diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive solutions.
This Section focuses on the latest progress in gene and cell therapy, vaccine platforms, molecular diagnostics, regenerative medicine, and biopharmaceutical production.
Particular emphasis is placed on the integration of omics sciences—genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics—and systems biology approaches to elucidate complex biological mechanisms and accelerate translational research. Studies involving synthetic biology, tissue engineering, biomaterials for medical applications, and the implementation of bioinformatics and machine learning in healthcare innovation are also highly encouraged.
We welcome contributions from interdisciplinary teams working at the intersection of biology, medicine, and technology. Indeed, the Medical Biotechnology Section aims to serve as a platform for interdisciplinary contributions that bridge fundamental research and clinical practice, fostering the translation of molecular insights into personalized and precision medicine.
