Travel Award

Alloys Travel Award was launched in 2025 and is presented every year to encourage junior scientists to present their latest research at academic conferences in the field of alloys and the relationship between microstructure, properties, and processing of all kinds of alloys, which helps grow their profiles. The application process is open from July to December each year, and winners are announced by the end of February.

The Prize:
– CHF 400;
– A certificate.

Eligibility and Requirements

– Postdoctoral fellows or PhD students;
– Plans to attend an international conference in 2027 (oral presentation or poster).

List of Documents for Application

– Information of the conference the applicant is planning to attend and the abstract that will be submitted;
– Curriculum Vitae and list of publications;
– Justification letter describing the focus of the research (max. 800 words);
– Letter of recommendation from the supervisor, research director, or department head, which also confirms the applicant’s status.
