Research on the Farmland Irrigation and Drainage Measures

Dear Colleagues,

More than two-thirds of the world's total water consumption is used for agriculture. With an increasing population and demand for food, the global availability of agricultural water resources is becoming increasingly scarce. Effective management of agricultural water is crucial for improving and stabilizing crop yield. Good agricultural water management techniques not only enhance productivity but also contribute to the improvement and sustainable development of agricultural soil and environment. Research on various theories and methods such as predicting agricultural water demand, optimizing the allocation of agricultural water resources, advanced irrigation and drainage technologies, as well as related techniques in fertilization, weed control, and pest management are necessary to improve the efficiency of utilizing agricultural water resources.

The current issue of 'Agricultural Water Management' welcomes all research articles related to the aforementioned topics including original research papers, perspectives, and commentaries.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
