Cover Story: The paper evaluates the impact of using ChatGPT-3.5 in remote sensing studies applied to archaeological research (RSA). It assesses the model’s abilities in several aspects, such as answering questions, providing references, recommending tools, and generating code. The study follows a multi-level approach based on three levels: entry, medium, and advanced. The results show that GPT can provide correct and relevant information, generate code, and interact with different tools and libraries for RSA. The AI can have a significant impact on remote sensing for archaeology flowcharts, as it can assist users in various tasks and processes and facilitate the use of open-source tools and data. However, the study also acknowledges the limitations and challenges of using ChatGPT-3.5, such as the reliability of the information and the ethical issues. View this paper
