November 2021 - 112 articles

Cover Story: Molecular phylogenic and morphological analyses and pathogenicity assays revealed eight fungal species (Aspergillus wentii, Fusarium oxysporum, F. ipomoeae, F. solani, Macrophomina phaseolina, Mucor variicolumellatus, Penicillium citrinum, and P. rotoruae) were associated with postharvest diseases on sweet potatoes. Dual culture assays indicated that Trichoderma harzianum strains showed strong antifungal activity against the pathogens. This study reports diverse postharvest diseases of sweet potato storage roots and suggests potential biocontrol agents to manage the diseases. View this paper
