Microfluidic design, operating procedures, and adoption of innovative approaches of tissue engineering enable accurately replicating the biochemical and functional activity of these organs, assessing changes in metabolic activity of the specific cell types, and linking exposure to hormonal treatment or exogenous chemical substances with women’s health and fertility.
