Abstract

Tylophorine, a phenanthroindolizidine alkaloid, is the main active component of Tylophora indica (Asclepiadaceae) which is used in ayurvedic medicine to treat various alleTylophora indica (Asclepiadaceae)rgic and inflammatory disorders, including bronchial asthma, rhinitis, whooping cough and catarrh.
